James creates excellent pre-made and custom book covers for indie authors. He’s running a half-off sale on his premade covers, which you can find at the link above. He’s also offering discounts on design extras (print covers and stuff like that) for his mailing list. You can join his list Here.
MailerLite is an excellent mailing list provider, offering stable service, beautiful email templates, and a very easy to use interface. I’ve used both MailChimp and MailerLite and I prefer MailerLite hands-down. It’s much easier to use, and the templates look much better. It has an excellent free tier, so I recommend it for new authors who are still building their mailing list and book catalogue. It’s a great learning platform as you figure out what works for you. This one actually starts Monday, but I wanted to let you know about it now so you could plan for it, if it looks interesting to you.
ConvertKit is another great mailing-list provider. It has excellent automation capabilities that MailerLite can’t quite match (check out the Features>Automations at that link above), and it’s a service geared entirely towards creative professionals. ConvertKit gets the unique needs authors have. It also comes with a higher price-tag than MailerLite, so I recommend it for established authors who can afford to pay a little more.
This isn’t actually a Black Friday deal but I wanted to include it anyway. It only opens once or twice a year, and it’s currently open until the 30th, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to let people know about it. Self Publishing Launchpad takes the place of the Self Publishing 101 course by Mark Dawson from Self Publishing Formula. It’s a comprehensive course covering all the basics a first-time author needs to know to get their books published. It will take you from not knowing anything to successfully published.
